Kanoni is a green peninsula just south of Corfu Town, best known for its classic view over Pontikonisi (Mouse Island) and the Vlacherna monastery causeway. It offers a quieter, more residential base while keeping you within easy reach of the historic centre.
Set on a small headland beside the lagoon, Kanoni is defined by its viewpoint over the two islets and the airport runway that borders the water nearby. Days are calm and leafy with a couple of cafés at the viewpoint, and evenings are noticeably quieter than the Old Town.
Getting around
Corfu Town's centre and the Old Fortress are a short drive or a local bus ride north, and the airport (CFU) sits just across the lagoon, only minutes away by taxi. A car or the town bus makes getting around easiest.
