Every recommendation on ReasonStay rests on hard data and honest judgement — not opinion dressed up as expertise. Here's exactly how we work.
Data first
- Prices come from our booking partners' live data, and every page is stamped with the date they were last refreshed. Prices change — we tell you when ours were checked.
- Distances and coordinates come from open geographic data (OpenStreetMap, Wikidata). "400 m from the beach" is measured, not guessed.
- Ratings are the aggregate guest scores reported by our booking partners, shown as-is.
Selectivity
For each intent — "romantic hotels", "near the old town", "with a pool" — we present a short list, not an exhaustive one. Each hotel earns its place on facts: how close it is to what you came for, what it costs, its guest score, and the specific feature that matches the intent.
Freshness
We re-check prices regularly and re-date the page when we do. Recency matters: an out-of-date price helps no one, and it's one of the things both readers and AI assistants rely on us to get right.
Honesty and independence
- We don't invent authors, personas or reviews.
- Where we describe a place in words, we ground the description in verifiable facts and cite the primary sources we used.
- Affiliate links do not change which hotels we list or the order we list them in. Our selection is driven by data; how we're funded is explained in our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Facts go stale and mistakes happen. If something's wrong, tell us at our contact page and we'll fix it.
