Zaka sits at the quieter western end of Lake Bled, near the rowing centre and forest trails leading up Straža hill and toward Vintgar Gorge. It's the most nature-focused base in Bled, best for walkers, rowers and anyone wanting green surroundings over proximity to the busy promenade.
This end of the lake is wooded and calm, home to Bled's rowing regatta course and gateway to hiking paths through the surrounding forest. Days are peaceful and outdoorsy, evenings are very quiet, and you're a walk of around 20–30 minutes along the shore from the central cafes and boat piers.
Getting around
The lakeside path links Zaka to the centre on foot, though it's the longest walk of the main bases; a car makes trips to Vintgar Gorge and beyond much easier. Ljubljana Airport (LJU) is roughly 35 kilometres away by road.
